“Advice for New Moms Interested in Losing Pregnancy Weight”

First things first; do not be in a terrible rush regarding losing your pregnancy weight. Please keep in mind that it took many months for the weight to appear and it will take some time for it to go away, too. It’s hard to be patient when you’re a new mother of an infant and your body resembles nothing you’ve ever seen before.

Respect your body enough to know that the weight will come off eventually and you don’t have to do it all before your baby’s teeth come in.

That said, I’m sure you’re thinking something along the lines of, oh great… how long will I have to cart around this unattractive, flabby belly, before I can get to work on it?

You won’t be much happier with the answer either; it all depends on your doctor and the kind of delivery you’ve had. What is important to keep in mind when you want to start losing pregnancy weight is that, once you have the doctor’s blessings (which usually occur on your 6 week check-up) you can start to begin getting rid of the excess weight efficiently.

Keep in mind that different doctors have different ideas about exercise but I am sure they would all agree that as soon as you’re home you should start eating a healthy diet. You don’t have to wait for that, it’s something you can start doing right away.

Eating right means not eating cakes and cookies, but sticking more to a diet based on fruits and vegetables. It’s also wise to eat lean meats and chicken without the skin is better than a big hunk of fatty steak.

The thing about losing pregnancy weight is that it will be a much healthier option if it comes off as gradually as it came on. Yes, I know that’s a frustrating thought, but you will lose a lot of that weight with the birth of the baby and placenta, so you’ll have a head start.

Another trick is to drink lots of water and you can start that right after coming home from the hospital, too!

Pregnancy lasts a long time – longer than most people think it lasts!

But it does eventually end and when it’s time appropriate and your doctor agrees you can start toward that goal of losing pregnancy weight and feeling good about yourself! All you need is an effective program and I recommend you check out here to start losing pregnancy weight now!

“Losing Weight After Giving Birth”

For a lot of people, the last thing a new mother should be concerned with is why it is so important on losing weight after giving birth …. but for most new mothers, it’s the first goal they want to reach.  Maybe this sounds like a frivolous goal to some but for a new mother, who feels she has totally lost her own identity, this is paramount.

We spend our lives before having babies trying to figure out who we are.  We are maybe known by the odd hats we wear that no one else could pull off.  We may be known for the way we can wear clothes that no one else would be brave enough to even try on.  Or maybe people identify us because we are athletes, actors, singers or roller derby participants.  Then the day comes when we give birth and even with all of the joy and excitement we are struck with the troubling thought:  Who is that person in the mirror who looks a little like me, but has the body of someone completely different?

Best Resource On Losing Weight After Giving Birth

For those of you who are new mothers and are reading this, you understand the importance of losing weight after giving birth better than anyone and although you may be ready to start right now, don’t do anything until you’ve spoken to your doctor.  Once you’ve received the okay from your doc, start slowly.  Maybe start with a walk around the block.  Make that walk a little longer each day and once you are comfortable with that you can increase your routine to include more of a variety of exercises.

One thing to keep in mind is to remember to drink lots of water.  Nothing will help you with weight loss more than a steady intake of water.  It’s important to keep yourself hydrated especially if you are breast feeding.

Although you may be excited to lose weight after giving birth it is important to remember to take things slowly at first and never overdo it.  Pace yourself, drink water and eat properly and you’ll be dropping pounds before you know it.
